Kashi Calling: My 2-Day Soulful Escape to Varanasi
Varanasi isn't just a city; it’s a feeling. This February, I decided to leave the hustle of Delhi behind and head to the spiritual heart of India. Here is how I spent 48 hours in the land of Mahadev.
Day 1: The High-Speed Beginning
Deepak Morya
My journey started at 6:00 AM at the New Delhi Railway Station. Stepping onto the Vande Bharat Express, I was immediately impressed. The train was spotless—the seats were comfortable, and more importantly, the toilets were exceptionally clean, which made the long journey stress-free.
The hospitality started early with a warm welcome coffee as we zoomed through the plains of Uttar Pradesh. There is something special about watching the sunrise from a high-speed train while sipping a hot brew.
By 2:00 PM, we pulled into Varanasi Junction. My cab was already waiting, and within 30 minutes, I was checked into my hotel, refreshed and ready for the evening.
